As the year 2020 comes to an end, I thank God for keeping all of us safe during the year 2020. Let’s all pray for the families who were less fortunate and lost their near and dear ones during the year. We also need to pray and support our brethren who continue to suffer the economic effects of the pandemic as we usher in the New Year 2021.
Let’s look forward to the new year 2021 with hope and pray to God to protect and bless us all throughout the year.
We will have Live Thanksgiving Masses broadcasted on our Parish YouTube Channel on Thursday, 31st December 2020 as follows
- Tamil Mass at 5.00 p.m.
- English Mass at 7.00 p.m.
Masses will be premiered on the YouTube Channel on Friday, 1st January 2021 as follows
- Tamil Mass at 9.00 a.m.
- English Mass at 10.30 a.m.
I have to inform you that the Parish Team with the help of the PPC Executive Committee had planned for Communion services on Friday, 1st January 2020 for our parishioners. The plan had to be cancelled as the local police authorities have denied permission and have advised us not to hold such services. They have warned that action will be taken in the event of any crowding at the Church gates or in the event the number of the parishioners in the Church exceeds 50.
We will therefore not have any service at the Church till fresh orders are received from the Government and the Archbishop’s House.
On behalf of the Parish Team, I thank you for all the support you provided us right through the year 2020, and I take this opportunity to Wish you and your Families a Happy New Year 2021.
May God Bless You and your families abundantly.
Fr. (Dr.) Francis Carvalho
