Sunday Notices 26th February 2017

  1. Domestic Workers will meet tomorrow / today at 5.00 p.m. in the room next to the Parish Office.

  2. The Bombay Catholic Sabha has put up a Help Desk outside the Church to facilitate Senior Citizens obtain PAN Card, Aadhaar Card and various other government facilities.

  3. 1st March is Ash Wednesday, a day of fast and abstinence. Masses will be as follows:

  • 6.30 a.m. in English ; 7.15 a.m. in English

  • 6.00 p.m. in Tamil ; 7.00 p.m. in Konkani ; 7.45 p.m. in English

  • Ashes will be imposed after the gospel during all the Masses.

4. During the Lenten Season, Way of the Cross in Tamil will be on every Thursday at 6.00 p.m., in Konkani it will be on every Friday at 6.00 p.m. and in English it will also be on every Friday but after the Mass.

5. The Senior Citizens will have get-together on Thursday, 2nd March at 5.30 p.m. on the ground floor of the school building.

6. Thursday, 2nd March Sane Guruji Nagar, Unnath Nagar, Industrial Colony, Pragati & Tiak Nagar will animate the Way of the Cross in Tamil at 6.00 p.m.

7. Friday, 3rd March the members of Zone 2 comprising of Old & New Siddharth Nagar, BEST Nagar & Ram Mandir Road will animate the Way of the Cross in English.

8. PPC meeting will be held on Friday, 3rd March in the Parish Hall after the Way of the Cross in English. Members are requested to make note of this change and attend the meeting.

9. Annai Velankanni Zone from Bhagat Singh Nagar to prepare the liturgy for the 9.00 a.m. Tamil Mass on Sunday, 5th March.

10. The following areas will be visited by the Parish Team in the coming week for house blessing. We request PPC members and Community Coordinators to make necessary arrangements:

  • Monday, 27th Feb :

  • Bhagat Singh Nagar II & Laxmi Nagar

  • Fr. Francis & Fr. Jothi

  • Tuesday, 28th Feb :

  • Mitha Nagar

  • Fr. Jothi, Fr. Kika & Dn. Seby

With this we have covered the entire parish. It was a great joy to meet and interact with all the families during the visit. We thank PPC members, Coordinators and Animators for making themselves available to take us around.

11. Cardinal’s Official on the season of Lent issued in this week’s Examiner and alternative forms of penance suggested in the Archdiocese of Bombay is put up on the Notice Board.

12. Lenten Missions in our parish will be held as follows:

  • Konkani - 6th, 7th & 8th March after the evening Mass

  • English - 9th, 10th, 11 & 12th March after the evening Mass

  • Tamil - 23rd & 24th March after the evening Mass
